Recently we created an inventory committee in CASIT to decide the future of this site and inventory workflow/needs of campus.
From our meetings we have decided to freeze inventory version 1.0 (this site) and start work on inventory version 2.0.
Next step for us is requirements gathering. We will keep you posted on future updates.
Added an automatic workflow that whenever an inventory record's "Status" is set to "E-Waste" it will remove the record from property receipt it belongs to, change the owner to "ewaste" and set the field "Does this device need a property receipt form?" to No.
If you already e-wasted a record you can either manually set the user to "ewaste" and set "Does this device need a property receipt form?" to No or to kick off the above workflow change the "Status" back to "Active" and then change again to "E-Waste".
Added history tab for inventory items that display's these fields: status, owner, department, building and room for every update to the inventory record. The goal is to view progress of an inventory item from birth (entry created) to death (e-wasted).
