Property Tagging

For equipment costing less than $5,000, please request an asset tag number from your IT team in order to register your new equipment in this inventory site. The Business Affairs office discontinued tagging equipment costing less than $5,000 as of July 1, 2019 due to budget cuts. Departments are encouraged to continue inventorying their own minor equipment. This site could be a useful tool in accomplishing that task.

For capital assets, which is defined as purchased or gifted equipment costing $5,000 or more, or equipment that is loaned or leased to UO, the Property Control department at the Business Affairs Office will schedule an appointment to asset tag and track your equipment throughout the life of the asset at the University.
